Some of young people in Myanmar are trying to get job by attending classes and getting a lot of certificates. I really took them long get some degree. Finally when they applied for job, some fail and some got job with very few salaries that they didn’t expect. Actually the reason is that they don’t have much experience.
Many global companies Experience believe and said that the best need for them from local workers is good experience in both local and global regions. Jort statema, country manager of Work.com.mm (a local leading job websites), said,’We don’t get excited by seeing certificate of applicants, but we look forward to see those who wrote down their working experience in CV’. Some fresher complained that they got weird when the employers are asking them about experience. Yes. It can. Basically, the fresher who is finding the first job should only apply for entry-level jobs or suitable level job. But they didn’t know and always applied for high level job and lost opportunities.
Young people in other rich countries like United States, Britain and some European countries are also facing difficulties to get a job because they didn’t want entry-level job and always want to go up without taking any small step. But some are doing fine already. The leaders of the countries already told them to take entry-level job first too. Now they are trying to make jobless rate decrease.
Never they should ask for big salaries and only they should ask for how big opportunities they can get from joining job. Although if you are also collecting certificates for job. You should stop it and start getting a job with suitable rank. Then learn everything from the job and show how good you are. Finally you will become the best employee in Myanmar.
