Today I would like to share you what’s happening in Myanmar. In Myanmar there are two classes of people; those who are rich and those who are poor. The rich people consume products which are good in quality but they are expensive. Poor people consume cheap products but they are very bad in quality.
For example, we can talk about foods. People in Myanmar are not educated enough how to make hygienic foods. As they are cheap, we consume daily. There we can also buy clean and hygienic foods, but the problem is that they are expensive. It cost 700 Kyat to eat for a launch, but the meal is cooked by cheap price oil (which destroy our health system by consuming daily for life). If we want to eat a launch which is hygiene and clean, we need to spend at least 1500 Kyat. But it’s also not sure that we can have a clean food. The expensive foods in Myanmar are called because of good service included. Then let’s talk about services. There are many services for us to rely. For IT, for internet, for marketing, for PR ,etc, we rely on many service. Some are cheap, but their services are very bad. Sometime they don’t pick the phone up to answer our question. Some give very good service, but they are very expensive of course.
I won’t talk about service. Here I only want to mention about daily consumer products. We are consuming products daily such as foods, snacks, drinks, clothes, electrical devices and appliances, and other many things. Most are coming from China country and they are very bad in quality. But as they are cheap, people have to buy and use it because people are not rich enough to buy good quality products. In the condition, instead of helping poor people to get grow, many rich people are trying to take advantages from people. They always want to get rich bigger and bigger. Then poor people get more poor and poor. Finally Myanmar people never have chance to consume cheap products which are good at quality. Finally the country never get grow a lot. All of the money that poor people have goes to daily consuming products, but the life standard of them is not changing too much. In the condition, if we can give the people the product which are cheap, but good at quality, good for daily life and good for health, the country grows together with the business.
