A lesson for entrepreneurs from the Wizard of Oz

Do you know the movie, The Wizard of Oz (1939 film)? For me, I didn’t know it. But I got chance to know it today from a startup incubation program taught by a great entrepreneur from Pollenizer. Let me share you. The wizard of oz is a fictional character and he is ruler of the Land of Oz. He can appear in a different form such as a giant head, as a beautiful fairy, as a ball of fire and as a horrible monster. He is behind every appearance he did. Every one didn’t know that the old man is […]

MobileMonday in Myanmar for startups and entrepreneurs

It was very first time for me to get into a MobileMonday event in Myanmar. It took placed in Yangon yesterday evening 6:30 pm. I saw many start-ups and entrepreneurs who are local and foreign people. The event was sponsored by ideabox Myanmar (the startup community powered by Ooredoo Myanmar) and Silicon Straits. It has been more than four months when they launched events. It is really great. You should go attend too. I got many knowledge, idea and information from local leading start-ups, Rocket Internet Myanmar (which is running house.com.mm, work.com.mm, ads.com.mm, motors.com.mm and kaymu.com.mm), 2C2P (an online payment […]

Mobile industry in Myanmar is changing from August

As you may know that Ooredoo is releasing GSM SIM card in August in Myanmar, there must be many changing in mobile industry in Myanmar. Telenor will also sell SIM card within few months. People predict that people will change their culture of using Myanmar Post and Telecommunication (MPT) to another two operators, Ooredoo and Telenor. People are very tired of using the worst internet speed given by MPT. They still don’t change their technology and system to make it better. Experts said that they need to change the whole infrastructure to develop. So they partnered with a Japan mobile […]

Why you should think about mobile marketing in Myanmar

I think I don’t need to talk about global mobile market and business. You can also see that businesses via mobile are also developing too much. It’s more than what we can imagine. In 2011, Global revenue for SMS service was higher than GDP of Vietnam country. It is only about SMS. If we talked about mobile app, mobile internet, mobile website, mobile phone service, VOIP service, the revenue is beyond our imagination. So let’s talk about Myanmar. In Myanmar, there was only a phone operator called MPT. Today, we are we have two more operators, Ooredoo and Telenor. It […]

Should you use Word Press or Blogger for blogging?

It is the question I am always asked by my friends, who are going start blogging. This is the age of action

One person has one idea. A community has a group of idea. The country is holding lots of idea. Each people in Myanmar has their own idea what they want to do in their life. Yes. We lived in the age of dreaming. We dreamed too much what we want to do and what we would like to do. Today still we can see that many politicians are talking too much about their idea, plans and so on. But the problem is that only few people are doing it. Myanmar people are very used to living in life by dreaming. […]

Google is now helping Myanmar users by Myanmar Unicode language

Last week, I came to recognized that Google is automatically converting all my fonts into Unicode. I saw it when I was writing in Google doc. It automatically converted all my Zawgyi fonts into standard Myanmar Unicode fonts. Not only Google doc, but also its other services such as Gmail, Google+, and many other apps are also converting. I am suing Windows 8. I also recognized that Mozilla is also helping for coding too. Even I am using Facebook on Mozilla Firefox browser, I can see that Zawgyi font became Myanmar Unicode fonts. So now is the revolution of fonts […]

‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ is worth watching

I watched the movie, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, on Friday night in Sanpya cinema in Yangon. I would say it is really a nice movie. It gave me many lessons. I would share you. The first lesson is about discrimination. We, human being, are very good at discriminating each other. People at higher level of position at job discriminate people at lower level of position. Discrimination is not only about skin color. It is all about people are acting each other. We need to respect each other. . The second lesson is about fear. People are fighting […]
