Within four days, there has been over 430 people joined the group and the number of people requesting to join the group is increasing daily. They have purpose not only helping each other who learn VR but also people from rural areas learn something new by VR support. In case here, VR is a virtual reality. They are making lots of Google cardboard.
Ko Aung Win Htut say “I read lots of news that VR is being used in many ways to support people. In a country where war is almost everyday, people create a virtual reality video about war and show it to kids and young people. By watching the 3D real world video, they get the real feeling of war and made them determined not to have wars in town. Movies can support a lot. But 3D video in VR device can touch the feeling more.”
He continues “we will take videos of Yangon and other interesting places, and then we will go to other cities of Myanmar and show kids to get them feeling of world. They are not fortunate enough to wander around the country. We want to help them and inspire them”
Myanmar VR Community is becoming bigger and they will be having community workshops and hands-on. Firstly they are in the stage of learning Google Cardboard. They explore more VR products such as Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift, Razer OSVR and many others.
