In the information technology age, Myanmar don’t have much content and information which is written in Myanmar online. People are writing too much on Facebook which are not searchable and trustful. We usually encourage people to start tech startup which provide reliable information and resources for Myanmar. Since I have been writing about an English language learning website in Myanmar, this time let me introduce you about an online restaurant directory, MyLann.
MyLann is not only an online directory, but also a mobile app which can have you data saved offline. For the current time, the startup focus on Yangon city and in the future, they may have more information for other cities. Right now, they have over 500 restaurant information. They let you write own review and feedback. You can click like and unlike. I like the way they translate. If we like a food or restaurant, we click on ‘Lan Dal’, which is called ‘cool’ in English. If we don’t like, they give us ‘Har Ta Bal’ button. Har Ta Bal is ‘Lol. such a joke’ in English. They try to polite.
Anyway, I am pretty impressive on what they have done so far. We can give star rating, write review and so many other things that we can do on a directory website. I use it to know which restaurant would be good to go. Their search engine let you find by location, food, time, etc. Try them at the website and mobile app.
