Telenor selects Bagan Innovation Technology (BiT) as Myanmar’s representative at this year’s Digital Winners conference

Yangon, September 21, 2015 – Telenor Myanmar Limited (“Telenor”) today nominated Wun Zinn application winner to represent Myanmar in the Digital Winners conference in Norway, in October 2015. The winner will compete with five other innovative applications from Telenor Group’s Asian business units (from Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan) to win the Best App in Asia.

2015 Election Hack Challenge in Myanmar

  Election is happening in early November in Myanmar. Government announced that the country is on track of democracy since 2010. However people are not believing it yet as a true democracy. Now the another election is coming which will happen in few months. CSO/NGOs and many other non profit orgnizations are doing all things what they can for election such as informing people to check their name in voter list, making events and talks to encourage people to vote. Startup.mm, a Facebook group where Myanmar startups meet

Kaung Sitt, a Myanmar entrepreneur founded a Facebook group, Startup.mm, with the help of other foreign and local entrepreneurs in Myanmar. The group is started since 2013 and now it become a big online community for startups in Myanmar. There are now more than over 1700 entrepreneurs existing in the group. 90 percent of them are Myanmar entrepreneurs, of which some are working at other countries and some at local.
