Google for education is open world education and learning portal created by Google. Last year, Google was instrumental in providing access, resources, financial assistance and innovative products to more than 15 million students and teachers in more than 140 communities worldwide. They said they are changing the world by technology and education. Now a newly program they are providing is Google RISE Awards. The good news is that Myanmar is also eligible.
Google RISE Awards are grants for organizations across the globe that: promote Computer Science (CS) education, run initiatives that reach girls, underrepresented minorities, and students facing socio-economic barriers under age 18. RISE Award recipients receive grants range from $15,000 to $50,000 USD as funding, access to a global network of CS partners which includes an invitation to the annual RISE Global Summit and participation in the Google+ online community, consultancy with Google experts and volunteers, getting chance to learn about technical tools & organizational development over the course of 12 months.
If you have plan to develop the country by education in Myanmar, Google is giving you chance to do more effective. Google believe that education is the best tool to develop the country. In education, Google chose IT education, which is excellent move. Then Google focus on female programs because Google want to promote woman’s participation in IT field.
