If you are running Facebook pages, you will see post reach index showing on page home page. In the past, Facebook gave us the index of people talking about. But after Facebook changed them their policy, we can no more see people talking about index in new page design. Only post reach will matter.
So what is post reach?
Facebook answered ‘post reach is the number of people who have seen your post. Your post counts as reaching someone when it’s shown in News Feed. Figures are for the first 28 days after a post was created and include people viewing your post on desktop and mobile.’
There are two type of post reach. One is organic reach and other is paid reach. After the page combined post reach, it gives us total post reach.
What is Post engagement?
Facebook answered ‘people engaged is the number of unique people who’ve clicked, liked, commented on or shared your Page posts. In the Overview section of your Page Insights, you can see People Engaged for the last 7 days.’
For post reach and post engagement, it depends on your effort for Facebook page. You need to update quality contents to get more people reach and engaged. You can also use Facebook Advertising service for people reach, but you still need quality contents to get people engaged.
